After writing a book, former first lady Jill Biden has been hitting the interview circuit this week. Democrats aren't having it.

Former Obama speechwriter and Pod Save America host Jon Favreau appeared to lead the charge this week against former first lady Jill Biden in the latest progressive war of words.

“I totally disagree with people who are like, no one’s gonna care about Biden in 2028,” Mr. Favreau complained to his Post Save America co-host on Wednesday. “Everyone’s putting into the past most Democratic primary voters like Joe Biden. No, I think most Democratic primary voters think that Joe Biden accomplished some great things as president and appreciate that he beat Donald Trump in 2020.”

“I don’t think they appreciated being f*cking lied to by Joe Biden, Jill Biden and their entire f*cking campaign who didn’t just lie about the debate performance but gaslighted everyone and told us we were all overreacting, bedwetters, that their polls were fine, that the f*cking debate was fine,” Favreau grumped. “And now Joe Biden’s like, oh yeah, we were lying the whole time.”

Favereau wasn’t the only progressive grousing about the former first lady’s press tour.

“I don’t think it’s terribly productive, and it’s sad, and it’s dishonest,” Rep. Adam Smith (D-WA) told CNN news anchor Kasie Hunt this week. “I mean, just think of the two sentences. She said, I saw him on the debate stage. I thought he was having a stroke. And then in the next breath, she says, no, I didn’t see any evidence of cognitive decline. Come on.”

“I mean, and this is something that was a huge problem for my party,” Rep. Smith admitted. “I mean, it was very clear, probably a couple years out, that Joe Biden was not going to be a credible candidate for president because of his age and declining health. To my mind, that’s not even debatable.”

“And yet, Jill and the family and a whole lot of his advisers around him, for whatever reason, dug in and said, we’re going to jam him forward,” recalled Mr. Smith. “And we’ve paid a terrible, terrible price for that. And the final point on this is every one of us Democrats out there who saw that Biden was going to run, and there was no stopping him, we had to try and defend it, which undermined our credibility as individuals and our credibility as a party. So it really weakened us in 2024. They should have seen it. They just should have seen it.”

“And the only thing I want to hear from Jill Biden is, I’m sorry. We should have said something sooner,” he concluded.

“I mean, look, we spent a year in the Democratic Party,” Democratic Party strategist Martha MacCallum told FOX News. “Anyone who stepped out of line and raised very legitimate questions about Joe Biden’s mental capacity, about his aging, his stumbles getting onto Air Force One were summarily shot. You were disloyal. How dare you get back in line? You’re helping Donald Trump win.”

“And we were told not to believe our lying eyes,” she added. “And so then, when you see this interview by Jill Biden, who, by the way, I don’t know if everybody remembers, a few days after the debate, she graced the cover of Vogue magazine with a blurb that said, we will decide our future. She was leading the charge to keep him in that race. So a lot of Democrats privately are saying, you know what, Lady Macbeth, exit stage right. We don’t want to hear it anymore.”

Unfortunately for Ms. Biden, Democratic Party leadership, and progressive voters, until Democrats take accountability for the failures of the Biden Administration, moving forward might prove difficult.
